The perfect bridge between your old home and your new one.

Ideally, every move would be seamless: you move out of the old house in the morning and into the new one that afternoon. In reality, real estate closings get delayed, renovations take longer than expected, or you might be downsizing and not ready to part with your family heirlooms yet.

Acadiana Movers provides more than just trucks: we provide a safe harbor for your belongings. Our climate-controlled warehouse facilities in Louisiana are explicitly designed to protect household goods from the region’s extreme heat and humidity, ensuring your items return to you in the exact condition they left.

"In-Transit" Storage (Short Term)

The most common reason our clients need storage is the “closing gap.” You have to be out of your current home on the 30th, but you can’t get keys to the new place until the 5th.

Instead of unloading your furniture into a garage or a self-storage unit just to reload it a few days later (which doubles the labor cost and risk of damage), we offer In-Transit Storage.

We load: We load your belongings onto our truck.

We Store: We bring the items to our secure warehouse. Your items remain padded and protected in our specialized storage vaults.

We Deliver: When your new home is ready, we simply load the vaults back onto the truck and deliver to your door.

Climate Control: Essential for Louisiana

In many parts of the country, standard outdoor storage is fine. In Louisiana, it is a risk. Our high humidity and fluctuating temperatures can wreak havoc on sensitive items.

Our facilities are fully climate-controlled, maintaining stable temperatures and humidity year-round. This is critical for protecting:

Wood Furniture: Prevents warping, cracking, or swelling.

Upholstery & Leather: Prevents mold and mildew growth.

Electronics: Protects internal components from moisture corrosion.

Artwork & Instruments: Maintains the integrity of canvas, paint, and woodwinds.
