What types of moves do you handle?

We are a full-service moving company. We handle residential and commercial moves of all sizes. In addition to the heavy lifting, we also offer professional packing and unpacking services to make your transition as smooth as possible.

Can I arrange a move without me being there?

Absolutely! We understand that you might be out of town or handling other business on moving day. As long as we have access to the property and a plan in place, we can handle the entire move remotely.

Is a deposit required?

Yes. To reserve your specific moving date and crew, we require a 25% deposit. This ensures that we dedicate our resources to you and turn away other requests for that time slot.

What happens if I need to reschedule?

We understand that plans change.

48+ Hours Notice: No problem. If you let us know at least 48 hours in advance, we can reschedule you without issue.

Less Than 48 Hours: We will do everything we can to accommodate your new date, but we cannot guarantee availability.

I called Acadiana Movers and was quoted a certain price to move my brother from one city to another city in Louisiana. I received a quote and when we call back to confirm the quote and make arrangements; we were informed that they gave us the wrong quote and added $400 more to the original quote. Also, the new owner of this place told my brother that he could get a cheaper price if he took another move with his to the city that he is moving too. He said he would call us back and he never did. This is so unprofessional. I will be reporting all of this to the BBB. I will never recommend this business to anyone.

Don't even consider this company. I was assured White glove service of my possessions. Nothing could be farther from the truth. First day Packers damaged top of custom buffet and dining room table. Owner came out videoed and took pictures and had his assistant do the same. Day of delivery movers destroyed the nightstand and damaged many items that they unwrapped before they even got off the truck. Further damage incurred to dining room furniture. Filed claim w United Van Lines. They requested the videos and photos of the damaged dining room furniture from Acadiana Movers only to be told by them that they DID NOT document damage by video/pictures. I was standing in room when they videoed & took pictures. Items started disappearing during packing (as was the food in my pantry). Unpacking they put trash & my food wrappers in boxes as they packed. Left feeling disrespected & violated.

This company over charged us even when it was raining and they were not working. They put time in that they did not work. We called to dispute the transaction the next morning because we didn’t want a hostile situation while the workers were there yet the company said they still had to charge us because the workers were still there while it was raining.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!! I Hired them to move me yesterday 6/26/23 and it rained and they still charged me for the time they didn’t move my property. I called and Heather informed me that they still charge customers because they’re men are still on site whether they are working or not, which this is not disclosed prior to the move. Also informed her that her workers took several smoke breaks even stopped to the store in route to new location and I shouldn’t be charged for all this wasted time and she justified it by saying they are allowed to stop and take breaks which I don’t have a problem with, just don’t charge me for time not being used, ESPECIALLY if you charge in 15 minute increments. Very bad customer service, they do not disclose important information prior to booking nor was ANYTHING done to remedy the cost. I requested to speak with manager and she said she will try to have him call me back. Please don’t waste your money with them.

This company took advantage of my elderly aunt by charging her double for a moving service. My aunt moved from a 1 bedroom apartment, across the street to another apartment. They showed up the morning of my move and told me that I didn’t pack correctly and that they couldn’t move 75% of my stuff. They failed to communicate their packing requirements ahead of time with me. They literally told me their packing requirements when they showed up to move me. If they needed things to be a specific way, then I should have received an email or phone call with their packing requirements / day of checklist. They said the way they wanted things packed was “common sense” but anyone involved in a B2C business should know that you never make assumptions with clientele and always over communicate out of an abundance of caution and to avoid a situation like this. I had to repack things the way they wanted. In addition, their two boys who were moving me did not bring their “speed box,” a piece of moving equipment that would have sped up my moving process tremendously, probably would have cut off 3-4 hours of time. Their failure to bring the proper equipment meant that my move time took all day, around 7-8 hours if I remember correctly. The owner even corrected his workers for failing to bring the speed box, yet I was the one hit with over an $1100 bill. I tried to work something out with the owner and he only took off one hour of time. If they had told me their packing requirements from the beginning and showed up I with the right equipment I could have been moved in 2-3 hours, as I originally budgeted. Horrible communication and service. Won’t hire them again. As a business owner myself, I would have never handled this entire situation the way they did. Don’t recommend.

We hired Acadiana Movers to move our household goods to our new home because they had good reviews. After my experience I don't understand how they had such decent ratings.The team they sent were extremely slow and I could tell they were milking the time. My wife and I had moved what they moved PLUS my storage in 2 hours. When the movers arrived they did not give the courtesy “on the way call” as explained. They sent a man in his late 60’s/70’s he passed out and took a nap on my floor. After 4 hours of loading what should have taken 1 hour the moving truck does not start! Ok another 2-3 hours of fixing the truck. They handled my white couch with no wraps and sweaty dirty hands. Huge hole in my wall. Just stay away this company is FAR FROM a professional moving company. I was so annoyed after 7 hours of what should have taken 2-3 that I asked them to leave! I am hiring professional help to come finish the job. They offered me to spend time filing a insurance claim to fix my damaged wall. STAY AWAY NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE!*There way of fixing this was only charging me $315. I will now spend another $500 plus fixing there damage and assembling my Fruniture.

I chose this company based off of the stellar reviews I read. Unfortunately, my experience was NOTHING like the reviews I read. Several items damaged. Movers took a 30 minute break during transit to "get some snacks." Thankfully, I timed them because they tried to charge me for it. Customer service took a turn for the worst when I filed a claim. Employee was extremely rude, communication was passive aggressive, and became a he said she said battle. Definitely will not use again or refer to anyone I remotely care about!
